Green Front Inn

I grew up with my paps cooking. Polish and home made. Never in my life have i had the experience in a restraunt of traveling back to that time. The food is real, its hearty and it is so comforting. I got two big peices of meat loaf, mashed potatoes and halushki for $8. My boyfriend got a half pound of stuffed cabbage with the smallest amount of rice, creamy mac and cheese and some coleslaw for $8. Everything was fantastic. 4 titos and 3 beers came to $16. How this gem stays hidden is beyond me. Best food in the southside. Hands down.

My mom and I walked by one day and saw a killer special: chicken Parmesan, salad, drink, & a dessert for $10. We walked in and was told by the owner that the kitchen had just closed. We were a little disappointed and then the owner asked us what we would like to eat and that he would make it for us. He did and was quick and friendly. Decent chicken Parmesan, liked the salad, and had the ice cream (there was chocolate cake and pumpkin pie too), but was told it was not made in the restaurant. The owner served us himself and was very kind. Would definitely go again! I’ve heard they have great breakfast.
