Best breakfast I've had in a long time! The tapas style menu is fantastic, allowing you to sample a wide variety of their fanciful gastronomic delights without becoming full. The polenta with sausage and egg is amazing, as is the venison gravy on the homemade biscuits! The wait staff is very friendly and helpful, as well. This place is more than worth the wait.

Upscale yet business casual Irish pub is the vibe that greets while stepping thru the entrance. The beignets were splendid and come at high recommendation to anyone. However a lesson learned, don’t order chicken off a meat and starch forward menu. I ordered a simple and to the point sandwich made of Biscuit, fried egg, cheese and fried chicken. Biscuit was good enough, egg was fine, cheese always a great ingredient but the chicken was undercooked and similar to chewing on a balloon. Restaurant still gains a 4 star review due to friendly / accommodating staff, visually and wonderfully smelling foods being served nearby and a delightful sampling of mezcal that brought fond Mexican memories of yester years.

The food was fantastic. Clams were perfectly cooked, hush puppies were the best I've ever had, beet salad was fresh and complimented so well with the cheese base. 🐔 With white sauce was done well and the summer squash was 🔥. Wagyu steak we could have done without. Too small and undercooked. #woops. The server took great care of us and made some excellent recommendations. Will be back for sure! First visit to the new venue for dinner just after happy hour. We tried and array of appetizers and then split a petite prime rib. The raddichio salad is still amazing. The tartare was very mild. I could have locked the bone marrow, it was amazing and I will order it every time from now on. We ended the meal with beignets and lemon curd. The new venue looks pretty similar to the old Woodsman. It's still a fun space with a large wrap around bar.

Tasty & Daughters captures the Portland foodie scene in every way. This new location is fantastic and just when I thought their food could not get any better it somehow did, and to top it off their staff is amazing and conscientious. We had oyster shooters, fries, asparagus w/ mozzarella, macaroni, collard greens, jalapeños corn cake, pork chops and chocolate chip cookie dessert all phenomenal and next level cuisine. Do yourself a favor and get your tail there quick, you won't be disappointed!

This little, unassuming gem was better than the reviews raved. The service was welcoming from the minute we walked in and were quickly served. Their menu offs many fantastic twists on old classics and we were told the shakshuka was “possibly the dish that built this place.” Given that we ordered that alone with potatoes bravas (which was hot and delicious) and Aunt Paula’s French Toast (a dessert both sweet and delightful). The prices were very reasonable. Would highly recommend.

Update Oct/2018: After a couple more visits, I fell that place is a bit overrated. Ribs sauce was too sweet and the "darn good" chicken fingers were greasy outside and dry in the middle, panna cotta was too sweet, too. Still a nice environment, but just not 5 stars, imho. Tasty and creative menu. Trendy decor and atmosphere. Nice place to bring a date and have good food. A bit pricey.

I heard rave reviews about this place from friends so I decided to come here for my birthday. Tasty N' Sons... is amazing! The first thing you should know is the entrees are served family style, so the portions are LARGE. We ordered the following (and yes we over ordered but it was my birthday and these leftovers were so worth it) : Bacon wrapped dates, maple and cumin yams, Mac and cheese, fried chicken, cider braised pork chop with bacon jam atop a Johnny cake, one of each kind of biscuit and a pear berry fried pie with Chai tea ice cream. I would say the must haves are the dates, fried chicken, pork chop/Johnny cake and biscuits. Everything was good, but these were exceptional and I would gladly order them again. The fried chicken when paired with their pickle, some hot spice and honey was the perfect bite. Same goes for the pork chop with bacon jam and Johnny cake. In addition to the delicious food, the service was impeccable. I've never been to a restaurant where the balance of service was perfect: not overly smothered yet not abandoned and still being taken care of. The staff was incredibly friendly and informative. This was just the icing on the cake... or pie? Seriously, if you haven't figured it out by now, I LOVED Tasty N' Sons. It's a MUST in a city of incredible restaurants.

Tasty and Sons was incredible. I highly recommend you visit this location if you don’t feel like waiting in super long lines around the block at Tasty and Alder. I am from the Deep South, so I know hot chicken, and let me tell you, this Nashville hot chicken sandwich is one of the best I have ever had. I was blown away. The shakshuka was also amazing as well as the blackberry jam and biscuits. Also a cool feature is that they have a hallway behind the restaurant that connects the strip mall and shared restrooms.

What a great brunch experience! Magic happened and the wait was only 15 minutes on a Saturday . Sitting at the restaurant bar we enjoyed watching staff work and seeing all the amazing dishes being prepared. We were also able to see how diligent the executive chef is in making sure each meal is up to standards. Wait staff was helpful and pleasant without being too intrusive. The food was crazy good. I had the shakshuka and my husband dove into the chicken fried pork cutlets with gravy. My amateur pictures don’t do the meal justice. Trust me, it’s delicious. Worth a longer wait but very excited we got lucky.
