Service was good, food not so good. We ordered sandwiches on rye. The bread was not a true rye bread, it was the cheaper made with white bread. It was toasted too much, almost burnt. I cut my lip when biting into it. The pastrami was good but for the price there wasn't much of it. My husband was still hungry after finishing his so he ate 1/2 of mine. He isn't a huge eater so him eating a sandwich and a half is not normal.

Decent service. Food is large portions. Bring a sweater in gets little chilly! Food is good with exception- Italian dishes come bottom plate with water! No matter how many times I've asked over the years. Bench seats are hard church pews-straight backs. Think after all these years put a few bucks into the place for comfort. Op for tables for comfort. Music is less desirable. Rather poor. It's for someone but seeing much mature clientele here most of the time it must be for the few sitting at the bar, or help in the kitchen .. This use to be a good place to eat. Perhaps they lost their chefs due to the COVID-19 closing. I have eaten there 3 times since they reopened. The only thing they do well now are their soups. Everything else is very bland. I ordered the French Dip sandwich today. The sandwich had nothing on it. No cheese, no onions, nothing but roast beef that had no flavor and bread. The beef broth to dip it in was so bland it needed salt. One of my friends had it and said the same thing. Our other friend had the Greek Salad and was very disappointed. I had it one of the other days I had come there. The lettuce was tired and the Greek dressing tasted like it came from a grocery store bottle. I am hoping this is a temporary situation for them. I will try it again in a few months. I hope they last that long.
