Pleasant Sunday afternoon experience. About what you would expect it to be like. Staff were friendly where they had to be and food was fairly prompt. The chef I believe bought out our meals, and he was very enthusiastic which was fantastic to see. The same enthusiasm didn't seem really shared.

This place was really struggling today (1 Jan 2016). Had to wait 25 minutes before a very new waiter got around to asking me for my order. Order arrived about 20 minutes after that, sans coffee which was requested in the order. Said coffee appeared on the bill which was immediately removed from the bill without question and complete with apology.
Food was OK without being great, but took a very long time to arrive.
I hope they finish 2016 better than they started it.

Great food, particularly the to-share 'chocolatey calzone' for dessert! Friendly service and a pretty good range of meals on the menu. Cosy bar-like atmosphere.
