Sa Pops

Great location, stop by here after a long hot day at the zoo. I opted for the piña colada shaved iced, it ate the top quickly before it melted! The ice was chunkier on the bottom, the sweet sauce was delicious! My daughter got a strawberry lemonade pop and it was refreshing and tart. The owner is super sweet and tended to us quickly. Can’t wait to go back and try more flavors! Note: they only allow 2 patrons inside at a time due to Covid.

If I could give the people at SA pops more than five stars I would and this is easily the only place I would say that for. Everything they make sets the bar, from their ice cream and paleta to their shaved ice it is all the best in San Antonio. I have brought my daughters here for years and I can't say enough great things about them. Not only are the cold treats fantastic but the family that operates the shop is the nicest group of people you can meet. We're lucky to have them in San Antonio. Do yourself and your taste buds a favor and go to SA Pops!

Shaved Ice, Paletas, and Homemade Ice Cream!! What more can you ask for? This place here is one of San Antonio's best kept secrets! Chef A. Gutierrez makes his ice cream fresh daily, and once it's gone, it's gone for the day. He hand washes all of his equipment and he takes an extreme amount of pride in his products. Skip all the other ice cream places and conglomerate ice steel pops and small fatherly figure stuff and come down here. He's got a wide array of shaved ice flavors, and handmade paletas. His ice creams are amazing and flavorful, Mexican Vanilla, Strawberry, and the oh so good Belgium Chocolate is smooth as silk. Give it a go and if you're not satisfied with what my review claims, I'll buy the 1st 5 of y'all's 1st scoop. S.A Pops is where it's at!

The popsicles here are amazing! I've been here twice. The first time I had a watermelon pop which tasted exactly like the fresh watermelon you cut open from the store. The second time I had a strawberry pop which was also delicious. The pops taste like real fruit, I wouldn't be surprised if they cut the watermelon and strawberries in the back and froze them to make pops that are to die for!

This is my first time coming here and I definitely will be returning!! The owners mother was very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is super chill and laid back not to mention the Banana Splits were delicious!! If your in the area and looking for shaved ice to cool down SA Pops is def. The spot!!!
