Rotolo's Pizzeria

I have not been to Rotolo’s before. The greeter was friendly and helped us get a booth we wanted. Our waitress, Leora seem a bit nervous. She did an okay job since, she kept checking in to see how everything was. We ordered an appetizer. The truffle fries were good, but it was way too oily. Our meals were a Deluxe Combination Calzone & a Deep Dish The Big Apple. The calzone was great by itself until you dipped it with the marinara sauce. The Big Apple had a lot of the sauce on top of it since it was a deep dish of course. The biggest let down of the whole restaurant was the marinara sauce. It was just way too over powering for my taste. It may have had too much tomato paste. Overall, I would like to try another meal next time if I have the chance. Also, please make sure to double check on your receipt before leaving. Our waitress didn’t hand us the correct amount.

This place was great. My friend and I sat at the bar where a stunning young man named Austin served us. He recommended a great beer for us to try, a strawberry one by Seventh Tap. He was a fun and engaging bartender who let us sample a few different brews. I'm a Yankee so I just stuck with my tried and true Yuengling after the strawberry one. They also had a really expansive selection of local craft beers, a fantastic way to get a taste of SBC. I ordered the lasanaga and my friend had the chicken parm pasta. Both dishes were absolutely amazing. The chicken was tender, juicy, and not at all overpowered by a finely seasoned sauce. My lasagna was stunning with a slightly sweet sauce that complimented the fish well. The little garlic bread balls were very good as well. I think maybe they were a tad doughy but I drank a lot of beer so. Anyway, fantastic experience. I would strongly recommend this locally owned franchise to my friends.

It’s so tough to find a good deep dish pizza in the south, happened to be visiting Shreveport and got the chance to have the deep dish here and it did not disappoint I loved it, and it even reheated really well in the oven!!! On top of the great food Jeremy was spot on with his customer service, engagement with us and has big heart for what he does, so glad to have gotten to experience it all! Will be back again and again when in Shreveport!
