Good food. The corn bread could be bigger. Need to level up on the yams, they seemed to be out of a can. My salmon was good. I could tell by his style that the rest of the food should be good. I had good greens also. Don't go for romance lol. He's got good music in the kitchen too.

So this was my 1st time eating here and have to say my plate was really good. I ordered the nachos and let me tell you that they give you what you pay for. Honestly these are the best nachos I ever had at any restaurant. I will return soon to try some of the other foods as well. Also the staff are generous and respectful.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and am very pleased. These people know how to cook. Had the beef tips w/ rice, green beans, and Mac and cheese. Everything was great. Wonderful flavor and seasoning, not the over cooked food served in some other places. I will be coming back again.

I was told that mj’s has good food. The lady at the front counter was super pleasant and nice but the food was awful. I’m not being funny I’m serious. I ordered baked chicken over rice, greens and yams. The chicken was dry, perhaps previously frozen after cooked, the greens where Glory Greens from the can. The rice was undercooked and hard! There was no gravy! The yams were underwhelming. I’m honestly surprised at just how bad the food was last night. Not sure if the cook was out or what. Honestly.

This was my first time eating here. I enjoyed my fish plate that I got from here . The fish was very good but some parts of it was overcooked. They also ran out of shrimps. I will definitely be back to try their shrimps.

Food is great. Friendly staff. Love the meatloaf. Lots to choose from. Specials every day of the week. Prices are right. Have a verity of deserts. Hope they bring back the stuffed bellpeper. I recommend it to anyone that is looking for home cooked food. And a locally owned restaurant.

MJ's has all kinds of different foods so that everyone can find something they like. Everything I have tried in here tastes so good, you have to come back. The prices are great too! I would recommend this resturant to everyone!

I've enjoyed every meal from here through the Waitr app, however catfish could use less salt. Keep up the good work, we need more soul food restaurants
