Mint Steakhouse

Great service, and its an experience, very different from dining at a standard steakhouse. Great fun to cook my own steak and getting a medium done steak while attempting a medium rare. Restuarant offers "eat as much as you can" salad buffet and bread toasts together with meals. I like the restaruant "old fashion" bar setting. It is enjoyable to see how creative some diners can be creating their own steaks and toasts.

A true hidden gem in Silverthorne CO. The Mint is a cook your own steak house. We met up with a group of people that made our grilling experience fun. Our waitress, Little Amanda took great care of us making sure we had all the extras to make our dining experience memorable. The food was fantastic and the The Mint dates back to the 1860's.

We were here on vacation to ski, and it was my son’s birthday; he wanted to grill a big steak and he was able to do just that at the mint! The staff here is awesome, so friendly, accommodating, and joyful. They sang happy birthday, made my 14 year old feel really special on his big day, and always made sure we had what we needed. Such a fun experience and we highly recommend. As said in other reviews, the place/decor is old, and that is the charm. The steaks and sides were excellent, everyone was happy with their choices. We had a party of 28 people. We reserved the side room in advance. It is great option for large parties. There is an all you can eat salad bar you do first. You can order drinks and appetizers from your waitress. Then they give you a ticket and you go up to the counter to pick your cut of meat and order sides. You then go over to the grills and cook up your meat; which is fun and different. It's nice because then your steak is done just the way you want it. The sides came out quickly. They also brought out my son's kids meal quickly. Considering how busy it was and how many people were ordering; they did a good job. We spent $120 total with tip for 3 sides, 2 steaks, a kids meal , and 2 drinks. I enjoyed my experience. I would highly recommend it for a unique dinner.
