Owner of Nagawa. Change the timetable online. I came to eat and you were closing already. Why it says open till 2100? You closed at 2000 today. Why I came all the way to eat there? I could go somewhere else.
Food and servers are great.

Today (20th August, 2023), I visited Nagawa to take my love for the Japanese language learning to the next level. Gohan wa totemo ooishii deshita. From today onwards, I will follow the "thanking food principle" ITADAKIMASU AND GOCHISOUSAMADESHITA before and after (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) every meal every day.

Literally just left here and I had to write a review, the food is unbelievable, we had about 6 dishes between my wife and I including the recommded by the chef , Filipino pork belly, wow literally the nest pork belly I've had.
We also had sushi which was lovely alomg with noodles, chicken wings, and a beef dish I cannot recall the name off, also a Filipino beer which I've never had which was also very good.
Highly recommended this place, great value for money and a nice change other usual type of places we have In Southend.

This restaurant opened not so long ago in Southend. I have been in this place only one but my first impression was good.
This restaurant provides a big menu with anything you would like from Asian cuisine.
The portions are big and really filling. Food prepared quickly. Service was good.
The atmosphere was there but was a little bit shaken by peeling paint and overall old look.
Overall, this place left a good impression, good food, big portions, and quick service. Great job!

Thoroughly enjoyed a lunch here. The salmon bento box was tasty and very filling. Am really looking forward to my next visit. So many interesting dishes to try out.

Great tasting food with Filipino dishes. Though we haven't tried their Filipino menu. I always enjoy their chicken teriyaki (crispy skin) chicken karaage and gyoza. My husband also loves their beef donburi and sushi selection. Highly recommended

I have had a few different meals here - the sandwich wraps, goyza, teriyaki rice, and donburi bowl and I've really enjoyed all of them. Really fresh, good price and friendly staff. Its a bit sparse in there,but they feature art by (I assume) local artists which is nice!

It’s a fantastic little restaurant/takeaway. Great options and I believe a fair price point as well especially for the portion size. Fast service generally (unless it’s really busy) I’m not the biggest fan of the sushi but that’s just my opinion. I get it this place at least once a month. Definitely recommend
