Turtle Jack's Upper Centennial

This place only works, if you wanna get a beer. Cocktails are tasty, but not worth the wait. Food is bland. I had chicken alfredo and the pasta had 0 flavour. Tasted like boiled spaghetti (no salt or seasoning) and had the texture of milk powder the sauce is made of. Nothing creamy or flavoursome. Clearly the cook has never tasted a proper pasta before. Even their "signature" Hell of a Burger was absolutely dry and not spicy. With one squirt of cheese in a can. We had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. Not because the place was full or there were no servers. Just because the teenage servers ignored us (standing on their phone) and stood around chatting. Food takes 40 minutes wait and drinks around 15 minutes. I would steer clear for the price.

Disappointed at last night's experience. We were seated nearly 20 minutes before our waitress came over, would have started with drinks if offered. Waitress was wearing sunglasses and gave very little attention to us. One family member ordered the steak and assumed it would come with potato and veggies as menu stated. Came out with double portion fries instead. Waitress never asked and assumed. Everyone's fries were extremely saltly. I dine regularly at another Turtle Jacks location and am usually impressed by service and quality. Last night was horrible.

Horrible food! Service was slow. We ordered two orders of basa fish tacos, Bruschetta, bang bang shrimp. One non-alcoholic drink and a glass of red wine. The shrimp was unrecognizable and smashed together in a bowl with little sauce. You can tell the shrimp is frozen. I had to open the shrimp to see if it was shrimp, because it didn’t taste like it. The bruschetta bread was hard! with hardly any topping with a sprinkle of feta. No balsamic glaze or Garlic aïoli on top like I remember from the last time I visited. The fish on the tacos was the only thing that tasted fresh. The drinks were good, but how can you mess up red wine and an Arnold Palmer. The bill was around 89 dollars. We went to Alexandro’s on upper James after because we were still hungry and unsatisfied.

Love their chicken fajitas and my fiance enjoyed his full rack ribs with 40creek sauce. Our server was great, had a bit of a wait but that's just due to how many people were there around dinner time. Food was perfection and server very nice and on top of everything. Would highly recommend for a good dinner out. Our bill came to about $90.00 with drinks.

We have been enjoying Turtle Jacks Upper Centennial location since 2011. Always great service and food. Most recently very disappointing on both aspects. It was like our server had left the building unannounced. We found ourselves recruiting the help of other servers to get us a drink or check on our food order. Finally after close to one hour we requested the manager. We were extremely anxious by this time and feeling very neglected . A server ALICIA came to our table appologized for the extreme delay and was honest about the reason our table had been left unattended for such a length of time. ( Im not going to give details only say that perhaps understanding was necessary in this instance) As a result of ALICIA'S professional handling of this unfortunate situation we were back on track with what was to be a fun evening with friends. ALICIA ...you know who we are and always know that we were most impressed with your ability to quickly turn a bad situation into a positive one. YOU ARE A REAL ASSET TO YOUR EMPLOYER Thank you
