Yuki's At The Quay

We found this business by mistake on a Saturday and we’re the only table seated in the restaurant. The dishes we ordered were quite delectable though we did not find full value in the pricing of the dishes and cocktails when comparing to other experiences at other Japanese restaurants. The table service and cleanliness was great also.

Had a lovely time here. The staff were friendly and not pushy. Their sake reserve list is a great selection ranging from the full bodied to delicate flavours and scents. Their sashimi were delectable, daily special of the Wagyu was delicious and presentations of their food can't be justified with my camera skills. Their view of the Opera house is also very wonderful. It's a great find and we would definitely come back for more.

Beautiful food and a very calming atmosphere. We really enjoyed our dinner here. We had 3 different sushi rolls, the miso eggplant and some edamame. The quality is great and we’re looking forward to returning and trying some other dishes. Even for Sydneysiders, it’s spectacular to enjoy the opera house views from your dinner table.

Went to Yuki's for dinner on a weekday. Had to follow signage to the lifts to take us up to the restaurant. We were welcomed on entry to our seats. The restaurant is on the fancier side and quite intimate (given not that much indoor seating) - also great views of the harbour and Opera house! We ordered a flounder (special for that day), assorted sashimi and edamame. The fish was cooked 2 ways (fried and in a soupy sauce with veggies). The presentation was great especially the fried fish fillets in the fried shell of the fish. Fish was a little overcooked and unfortunately quite dry. The fried fish shell was a nice touch and completely edible (bones and all!). The soup part of the dish was quite ordinary. Definitely nothing special. Probably wouldn't order this dish again if we were to revisit. The assorted sashimi was so delicious and so amazingly fresh! A good mixture of salmon, tuna, kingfish, snapper and scallop. All super fresh! Would definitely recommend. Staff were very polite and attentive - drinks were always refreshed without asking.

Beware! Unlike other fine dining restaurants in Sydney, their waiters, including the manager, won't stop you from over-ordered while they don't offer food takeaway! Yep, they expect you to read every word from their menu. When you ask for takeaway boxes, the manager will show you what they printed on the menu and claim it's due to COVID and prevent food poisoning. If that was the case, why can't they kindly remind customers not to order too much food as their dishes are serving in big portions? (rather than hard-selling their daily specials to us, who walk-in after 8pm... One Star for the opera house view and one star for average Japanese food and presentation. Btw. there's minimum spending $50 per head, incl children. So, if you ain't a big eat and don't want to waste food, order more drinks and fewer dishes :)

Booked the place to celebrate my son’s birthday with family and friends. As always, big groups are always difficult to handle but Yuki’s did more than I anticipated. From the time of booking, collecting pre-orders and communicating both party’s expectations. Food was great and everyone enjoyed the night. As for the view? Amazing backdrop of the Sydney Opera House. What else can we ask for? Will definitely recommend and come back for more.

Positively surprised by this place: a fine dining restaurant where all tables have Opera House views and the food is good, but the prices are not completely outrageous! Yukis offers a solid Mod Oz mix of Japanese classics and Western food with Japanese touches, and the 6-course degustation for $90 is a steal given the location, you can easily add another zero to the price if you go to Quay next door. Two thumbs up for a special night out!
