Beanie Cafe

I use to love coming ti this place, Getting a coffee and breakfast. Not sure what’s changed, today I ordered a ham cheese toastie and a coffee - coffe great as always. 28 minute wait for a ham cheese toastie, and when I opened it I threw half of it out as it was a mess. No care in it’s preparation, the bread was inside out, cheese all over and stuck to the paper, ham and tomato not actually in the half at all. Severely disappointed. More so, not even a ‘sorry for the wait’. Fantastic experience do not recommend as this is the third time for me I have had a poor experience.

I think might be a good place to visit for a takeaway coffee, but the food is a bit disappointing. However, I did really like that you can get egg whites/ egg white omlette here. I asked for toast with my eggs, but they forgot to add that and the mushrooms that came with the avo toast were way too salty. There's no table service, which is not such a big deal for a Monday to Friday cafe. Lots a pre-prepared stuff, if you're on the go.

Good coffee (I haven't tried the food), and friendly staff. I can get a coffee slightly cheaper elsewhere (50c cheaper) but I prefer the coffee at Beanie. EDIT 29 Aug: I just bought an almond piccolo today and it was very, very nice. It was truly hot, like I ordered and the new coffee blend seems to go well with almond milk. Thanks.

The menu is extensive and is very popular with office staff. However, the customer service is extremely lacking. There is never a greeting, acknowledgement of your existence, smiles, and they never seem happy to be working there. My takeaway orders are often forgotten, or I'm left waiting a long period of time. With so many options around, I'd rather take my 5 day a week business elsewhere.

Staff is pleasant but some of them are confused and some of them are too busy talking to each other or playing with their phones. When they do talk to you they're nice but you can go ignored for a while. The first time I came in the staff wasn't aware of the daily specials they had. The second time around the staff behind the register were talking to each other and there was one who just stared awkwardly at me. The food is okay and the price is standard cafe food price.
