Perfect place to stop before you head over the pass to Haast or Franz. The homemade soup was fabulous. We were really glad we popped off the main highway and had a nice bite to eat before the long drive through the mountains. Staff were lovely. Food was excellent.

Spent a relaxing morning on the Lake Hawea waterfront. Enjoyed a very good coffee and excellent carrot cake whilst reading the ODT and overhearing some locals speading gossip. Very entertaining

Had lunch and breakfast here and both times service was great . Lunch was chicken burger and rebean toastie . Breakfast was eggs benie and coffee great food

I ended up stopping here right after Mo's, so it was a two breakfasts kind of morning. A cozy atmosphere. I would have liked some outlets to charge my stuff while I ate before heading out over the mountains again, but all is well, good coffee and breakfast

The upstairs dining experience was delightful, very comfortable on a cold winter evening and with delicious food. The serving staff were amazing and even asked for the Spotify playlist the music was that good. Highly recommended, certainly a return customer

Amazing views of the Southern Alps overlooking Lake Hawea. The store has a good variety of fresh food and takeaways, with a decent cafe. It really has it all! They even have a little bit of fishing tackle for your last minute needs :)
