Loved this food - tried both the karaage chicken and the oyster burger - both equally so delicious, fresh, crunchy and accompanied with crispy vegetables and the tastiest mayo - if you are in Wanaka I highly recommend you to try out this Japanese street food at its finest

MUST DO IN WANAKA
Whilst searching for a place to drink beer, we discovered this quaint little lane filled with a plethora of options. Raage was the stand out.
Tried the Raage Karaage burger and was blown away.
Great friendly service who offered some great beer suggestions at the neighbouring Woodys sports bar.
If you’re in the area, stop in and support a local business with some chicken and chips. 5/5

I had both the raage burger and the fungkburg (planted based oyster mushroom burger) - and hooooly. Sooo crispy yet juicy and flavourful - hands down the best karaage / fried chicken and mushroom burgers I’ve had!! Even my partner who isn’t usually big on the vegan options loved the more-ish umami mushroom burger. I’ll definitely be back for more - biggest dilemma will be whether I go fried chicken or the shroom….

Soooo tasty. Everything was fresh and delicious. Thought the chicken would be my fav but the mushroom was just as juicy and flavourful.

So good! Crispy with all the right flavours. Portions are great for the price. These guys do it masterfully, the chicken is juicy and delicious and the oyster mushrooms with make converts out of Carnivores, seriously. Attention to detail in the sauces and rice bowl accompaniments really set everything off. The milk bun is soft enough to sleep on 🤤!
