Isshin has one of the BEST service in Adams Morgan. May is the woman who always helps me. I think she’s the manager. She keeps that place running swiftly and smoothly. During the pandemic, Isshin made every effort to keep their place sanitized and customers safe by using PPE and placing hand sanitizers all around. The staff works super fast to get meals ready for you. They always go above and beyond to offer excellent service. I had to order spicy shrimp rice and I was going to arrive close to closing time, May kept Isshin open until I arrived (5 mins late) to pick up my food. I only live 3 blocks away but once I was not able to pick up my food from Isshin. May immediately said, “if you live close, I’ll deliver for you.” And she did just that and as usual with a very pleasant demeanor and genuine smile. May and her team at Isshin make this restaurant one of the best in Adams Morgan. Thank you May and Isshin!!!

As long as you only order sushi/seafood items, you’ll have a great time. Here is a break down of every item we tried. Sushi rolls: 5/5 We’ve tried the market roll, shaggy dog roll, and spicy blue crab roll. The market roll and shaggy dog roll are PHENOMENAL. So so so good. The spicy blue crab roll was not bad but just way too spicy for us (and we like spice!). If you’re super into spice, it would be delicious. They forgot to put one of our rolls in the order but Grubhub refunded us for it so no big deal. Appetizers: 5/5 We had the rock shrimp tempura and the crab wontons. Amazing, just amazing. The crab wontons are actually just cream cheese wontons with maybe an essence of imitation crab but still delicious. The rock shrimp tempura really stole the show. We squeezed some lemon on ours and mmmm so good. Entrees: 2/5 We tried the sesame chicken, which was supposed to come with white rice and miso soup. We never revised the miso soup so can’t comment on that. The sesame chicken was meh. Extremely meh. Not good, not bad, just… bland and meh. The white rice was white rice, can’t mess it up. This definitely isn’t the place for non-seafood items. Overall: 4/5 The food, as long as it’s seafood, is delicious. Fresh, surprisingly affordable for DC, and amazing quality for the quantity/price. Definitely recommend this place! Stick to the seafood and you’ll leave very happy.

The absolute best sushi delivery in DC. Fresh sashimi and sushi – a reliable spot every time! The best price-quality deal that I've ever seen from all the other places I've lived in the US, or Europe. The attention to detail is also super impressive (the flower!). Great job, Isshin Asian Bistro team, keep it up!!
