Sherwood Diner

First time coming to this very busy diner. We were seated quickly and the servers were all very helpful, ours suggesting a new menu item: the pumpkin pancakes. Ended up ordering the pumpkin pancakes and a steak, egg, and cheese sandwich. Both came out pretty quickly and looked quite nice. The steak egg and cheese sandwich was a very nice size and hit the spot. The pumpkin pancakes were absolutely fabulous and the drizzle, reminiscent of that put ontop of cinnamon buns was decadent. Would highly recommend trying it!

We got there at 10 till 2 p.m. on a Saturday and they had a good crowd dining, outside on the patio as well as indoors, but the srevice was still quick and very friendly. The menu had a pretty decent variety, especially for breakfast items and sandwiches, it even included a beyond burger, and even though I'd never associate it with a diner item, there was actually a mimosa on the drink menu. I had a Chicken melt which was a grilled chicken breast with peppers, onions, mushrooms and cheddar cheese on a pita, I made it a "deluxe" which adds fries and slaw. My husband had a patty melt (they give you an option on how well done you want the burger), his was also made "deluxe." The food was pretty good and the prices were fair. The service was very good and everyone working on staff maintained a friendly and professional attitude. I would definitely recommend this place, and I'd visit again.

I've had better experiences at holes in the wall in 3rd world countries. It was a bad sign when we walked in and the wait staff was all gathered together instead of dealing with tables. The sandwiches were dry and overpriced with barely any meat but we never saw our waitress at the table until I asked for the check. And that's when she wanted to know "how is everything?" Really? At the end of a meal? The food leaves a lot to be desired as does the service.
