Marlene's

Finally stopped by after living around the corner for years. The doors open at 8pm and my friends and I got there by 9pm, yup we opened with them, first ones through the doors and the only ones there until around 9:50 then honey talk about packed and pumping. The tunes were okay, the DJ played a little of everything so we made our way to the dance floor after we played a few rounds of pool. We really came for the food and drinks, and were not disappointed. the wings were delicious, we tried most of the flavors and they were willing to make a few adjustments for us. Candy was super sweet and charming to me and my friends and even gave us a little back story of the bar name. I won't spoil it for you, so go ask her okay. We noticed security, there was alot of them so clearly Marlene's all about safety measures being in place, there was also an entry charge 9 and after (come early and you won't have to pay it of course) it's worth a trip and could be an awesome low-key spot for you on the weekends. I know I'll be back, see you there.

So went here the other night about two weeks ago, I arrived around 10:45 went in greeted my friends and immediately went to place my order. It took 1hr and 15 min for me to receive my food. After a while I became hangry and ask for my money back, then this white man angrily walks over to me and tell me that I hadn't waited that long and what am I trying to do get my food or my money back since my food just came up. I asked for my money back and that's what should have been done the attitude could have stayed out of the whole ordeal and then the bartenders acted as if they didn't want to service me anymore. I wasn't rude, I didn't act ugly my money should have been returned and all of the attitudes wasn't needed nor called for.

I think the place has potential, you gotta pay $10 to get in... The dance floor area space is nice, however the DJ was hardly playing anything good. The DJ was also playing most early 2000s music you would hear from the early days of 106 & park with AJ & Free. It's cool to hear some songs like that, but not for the whole night... The DJ wasn't even watching the vibes, some songs would have the girls we were with dancing, then he would kill it and everyone is standing there, and he would let that whole song that killed it play out...

Definitely a spot to hang out! Had so much fun with my friends here on a Monday night. The DJ catered to everyone. Our bartender Sharon was awesome! We stayed til closing and she even made sure to check on us when we were heading out. Very sweet and lovely woman. Monday night was accompanied by dollar draft beer and 50 cent wings. Can't beat it!
