Good Mexican food for the price compared to other local restaurants in Borrego Spring which is a tourist town.
Good for a quick stop before or after a hike. This is a cash only place. There is ATM up the street.

Best Mexican food I've had in a long time. I got the Chorizo Plate (eggs with chorizo sausage, rice and beans). It comes with a choice of flower or corn tortilla. I got the flour tortilla which has an amazing authentic Mexican flavor heated on the grill.

Typical southern California taco shop.
We had a Carne Asada burrito, rolled tacos and super nachos. It was all good and the portions were large.
Some dude came in without a mask and they asked him to leave. Good job!

Good Mexican joint at Anza Borrego. Loved the salad bowl but the tacos were average at best. Beef seemed chewy. Fish taco was a clear winner.

Skip it, except for the ice cream.
Came in, ordered 8 tacos and huevos rancheros. The tacos were terrible - fatty and gritty chicken with bones in it, the toppings were flavorless, and the tortillas seem storebought. We ate 3 of 8.
The huevos rancheros was edible, but served with a burrito tortilla on a Styrofoam plate with plastic silverware. While I struggled to compose something workable, I shared my meal with the dozens of flies that are quite at home in the filth on the front window.

The shredded beef taco plate was heavenly. Highly recommend this place for a bite to eat if you're heading out to the Borrego Springs desert or coming back from a great weekend of camping. Good prices, good homemade food, fast and easy!

Tacos are the best with their green sauce and you’ve got order one of their burgers!
I'm there about once a month. Ana Borrego is a great desert camping place for everyone to enjoy.
Grab some Mexican food on the way to your camping spot and another on your way home.
Must try: I buy their quart of green sauce on the way home to add to my home tacos.

Stopped in for lunch today. Delicious beef tacos combo with rice and beans. Excellent carnitas and giant homemade flour tortilla. Large portions. Definitely will visit again.
