Poblano

Came in on a Thursday night. Both ladies behind the register were friendly and helpful. The place was super clean. We ordered two of the two piece chicken plates and a kids plate. The chicken had a good flavor but was warm and dry. I was hoping that it would be freshly made but was sitting in a warmer. Looked like it was made the day before. The green beans tasted super salty and had that soft out of the can texture. The beans were also salty. The yellow rice was decent. The only thing made to order were the potato wedges. No special seasoning on those. Just your typical frozen aisle potato wedges. Each plate came with tortillas and salsa and creamy guacamole sauce. Both sauces had a mild heat. The salsa was good. The creamy guacamole sauce tasted watered down. I hope that they decide to do the chicken made to order. If it’s good then it’s worth waiting for and people will wait.

Tried Poblano Flame Grilled Chicken today with my wife. We each had the 2 pcs chicken with 2 sides. As with other reviewers, chicken was a bit on the dry side but very tasty. Each combo came with your choice of dark or white chicken. I had the Charro beans which was excellent. My other side was the Esquite corn - not impressed as it looked and tasted like heated corn out of the can ... sorry. My wife had the green beans and mac and cheese for her sides ... her comment was it was OK. Ordered sweet tea but it was not available so we settled for fountain drinks. The creamy guacamole sauce was excellent and the Salsa excellent but ... yikes...HOT! The 2 tortillas on the side was a nice touch. The place itself is immaculately clean and the owner was very personable.

I have eaten here multiple times (getting the same thing - grilled chicken wrap, maduros, creamy guacamole sauce, and horchata). The service is always great and fast, the restaurant is clean, the food is great, and the staff/family are super nice and friendly! I personally have never had an issue with my food, like the other person who reviewed. They are new, however, so maybe that person just caught them on an off day. I would definitely recommend trying this place, and will continue to go myself!

I would give them an A for effort. They are friendly and quick service. The food on the other hand; Honestly the prices are decent but the proportions aren't worth it. If you get yuca fries or maduros you literally only get 3 peices while other places give more bang for your buck. Also the chicken was dry and it was in a hot tray so I wonder how long the chicken was in there for. I prefer my flamed chicken fresh off the grill not sitting for who knows how long.
