We were staying at the Colonial Inn and decided to try out one of their restaurants. We were not disappointed. We started out with the meat and cheese platter appetizer. The selection was a wonderful start to the meal with a wide variety of different cheeses and meats. My husband ordered the New York Strip and I ordered their stated award-winning braised short ribs for dinner. We were not disappointed in either entree. The bread basket has fresh baked rolls and cornbread. The waitstaff was well trained and very helpful when ordering. Our server even snuck an extra piece of cornbread which she noticed I enjoyed in my takeout box. We will be back again.

The food is tremendous, if you are up for noise pollution. This beautiful landmark building is centrally located at a roundabout and while outside dining is a fabulous pastime for people watching, you are bound to hear horns honking, babies crying and dogs barking. But back to the fabulous food. I had crabcakes, clam chowder, flat bread with roasted peppers and pesto all incredible. My husband had the inn burger, medium rare and was quite pleased.
