Cold Rock Coolangatta

Unfriendly and rude service from a lady this morning. Made our kids feels very unwelcome and uncomfortable. With so many flavours to choose from, she seemed irritated while waiting for our young kids to choose a flavour. At $9.50 for a medium, I think we should be able to at least let our kids pick what they want without rushing them. There was nobody else in the shop waiting to get served. Our daughter requested to have a sample to see if she liked the flavour she chose but was rudely turned down saying no ice cream shops do sample tasting anymore. We took our business down the road to Baskin and Robins where they offered sample testing. No issues from the friendly staff there and even offered our kids an opportunity to sample their new flavours. That particular staff working this morning at ColdRock Coolangatta should be retrained in customer service.

Very rude young girl with black short hair severed me an undersized regular ice cream, barely any ice cream and didn't offer me mix ins. I gave her my members card which I had $5 on and see didn't take it off or gave it back to me. Very upset with this issue and might not come again very very disappointed!

Cold Rock is a fabulous place to take kids for an ice cream treat. Ice creams can be customised with added biscuit, jaffas or other fillings spread through. The only downsides are that the flavour range is heavily skewed towards flavours you'd think children would like. Even the flavours that are more "adult" like coffee still taste like a 7 year old would have had the final say. The other downside is the costs, it's the same price as a more high end gelati place.
