Public House On Cicero

I hosted a birthday party at this location on November 27, 2020. The waitress attempted to charge my debit card for two drinks and I only authorized one drink. Then they ran my card 6 times attempting to charge me for something I did not authorize. At one point, A member of my party was asked to keep an eye on my items, including my purse because I stepped to the back of the house where another event was taking place with some people I know and stayed there for 15-20 minutes with one of my male guest. I spoke to the DJ then left. Upon returning to the table the same male guest asked me to step outside. As I was getting my coat, which I had left my purse his under and tucked in. the lady celebrating with me announced, she was about to leave then said "my purse was in her car." While outside she began to scream out her car window "I am not about to disrespect my husband" and tossed my purse to me from the passenger side window. My issue with them is the security guard failed to make an inquiry and immediately began to handle me as an assailant. While I am telling him the lady had my purse. Things escalated and then the male patrons were pulling and touching on me even though I asked them to stop and again security failed to assist. A female party goer finally told them to leave me alone. However this escalated into the police being called. Not one time did this establishment ask me or offer me any assistance. As the woman stole my purse. They made appear as if I was a problem and someone was trying to steal my purse. Besides the social and racial dynamic is totally unbalanced. All the black people are security and everyone else appears to be caucasian. I would not recommend Public House to anyone!

Stopped in for lunch the other day. $5 dollar burgers & 1/2 price wings. Both right up my alley. Burger was outstanding as well as the onion rings that came with it. They were both cooked just right. Wings had just the right amount of sauce. Owners were there and were very friendly. Definitely will be back to try more on the menu.
