This my second trip to Geelong in 12 months but the first time I discovered the food court in the Westfield. I chose the mei goreng. First time I had come across this dish as a noodle dish. It was surprisingly yum. Don't know what I expected but this was definitely yum. There was even 3 medium sized prawns in this dish. Mild enough yet enough spice to give the dish oomph yet not upset the tummy. Like the idea of enviromentally friendly take away dishes. Staff were friendly. Pity it closes at 5 pm which means if you want anything from here for dinner you need to buy early in the day. p.s dish is made at time of order so guaranteed fresh

I always get the chicken in batter, sweet and sour sauce and fried rice. It is very good. My wife tries different things each time and usually finds something she likes. The service is fast and the restaurant is kept very clean. The staff there are always quick to clean up tables and keep the place looking good. I recommend China Bar for fast, reasonably priced and tasty meals-.

The management has changed for this restaurant. The food still tastes good but the service is terrible. They don’t coordinate their dishes to be served at the same time. If you order 2 dishes for 2 people one person will get their meal while the other person gets their meal 20 minutes later. Or as happened to a neighbouring table a 25 minute delay. On another occasion our entree was served halfway during the main course. Disappointing service.

Well this is your self service restaurant that is sort of good price point. So don't expect your regular restaurant service. We loved their chicken curry and roti. Ironically chicken curry is more tends toward what we have in Sri Lankan style (spicy, non sweet red curry) so we loves it. They usually give more chicken and curry so we order extra roti and share with two. Food comes our pretty fast.
