So flavorful. The sides were cooked just right, not mushed. This says alot about the care that went into cooking the food. The meats were the best that I have ever had in this county. So flavorful without being overwhelming. Just right. I'm not sure what days they're open but I was there on Sunday afternoon. To-go only. The wait time is long, not fast food even though it's cafeteria style. They do take cards. Ordered the Irie Sunday which has salted fish crumbles, dumplings, boiled plaintains and greens, and the 4-meat combo which come with veggies amd rice. Every single item was so delicious.

Helena and crew deliver the most delicious food with friendly service. Our favorites are whole snapper, Jamaican fried chicken her award winning mango bread. Portions are big and ready on demand at the buffet. Grab a couple Jamaican patties and don’t forget the oxtail gravy. Nothing like Island Flavors for homemade goodness.

Great service, good food. Easily, the best Caribbean spot in St Pete, actually the whole Bay area. Consistency, a good variety, and a welcoming/friendly atmosphere is what makes this restaurant the top spot. Unlike many places from Brooklyn to Miami,loads of Americans frequent Island Flavors. It's cool to see. And it is always good to see the Boss lady working amongst her crew. Respect to all the people working in the front and around back. Continued Success..

Visited Island Flavors and Tings all the way from Atlanta GA through word of mouth from my mother. Ambiance was great with good reggae music playing in the background, clean and orderly set up and display and great tasting food. The fried Snapper, Rice and peas and cabbage was delicious. Will definitely be back.

Knew when we arrived ten minutes til opening and there was a line at the door this place was definitely what reviews said. They delivered! Wonderful, friendly staff. Many choices of food. Seasoned perfectly (actually better than other Jamaican restaurants we’ve been to) the peas and rice had a little kick to them, so flavorful!! Portion size: ginormous. Mango bread was delicious, can’t wait to try the rum cake. Great for vegetarians and meat lovers alike! Wednesday’s are vegetarian/vegan days. Will be swinging back through for veggie patties and veggie soup. Highly recommend this place!

The Food and Staff will always keep you coming back for more, simply AMAZING comfort food that tastes Phenomenal and VERY satisfying! As soon as you walk in there is a place to order your meal or simply shop for any West Indian products for snacking or planning your own meal! My Wife and I eat here at least 3 times per week and ALWAYS have the meats, veggies and starches the will stay with you and leave you feeling satisfied!
