Jack Binion's Steak - Hammond

Food was superb! Fried Brussel sprouts were light and airy, melt your mouth. All the food was cooked to perfection, and very flavorful. My mom said her New York strip steak was the best well done steak she's ever had! It was still juicy, no charring or burnt ends on it. Definitely recommend, and will be going back. Great atmosphere for business, or romantic dates.

Came to dinner on a Sunday. It was not crowded. We ordered the bourbon cream corn, mashed potatoes, calamari, ribeye and prime rib. The best items were the ribeye, mashed potatoes and the bourbon cream corn. The corn was so good, we ordered seconds of it. The calamari was ok. The prime rib wasn’t bad either but I liked the ribeye more. I forgot the name of the cocktail that i ordered but it was good.

Food was really very good. There was 4 of us for dinner. We had the Ribeyes, Shrimp and Grits, Calamari...Caesar Salad with anchovies...drinks. My husband had the Salmon Bisque and loved it. My only complaint was that the Prime Rib was too thick for me (can't believe I said that🤔😊). But that did not detract from the overall experience or the service...which was great. Would definitely go back.

Terrible service. We let the wait staff know we were attending the Joan Jett show. It took 20 minutes for our waiter to come over and get our drink order. And we put our order in right away since he mentioned the kitchen was behind. We got our salad within 10 minutes. It was fine (although never cleared the plates for the entirety of our 1 and 1/2 hr stay). But an hour later we didn’t have our entrees. We kept hearing other tables complaining they were waiting for over an hour and we’re also trying to make the show. So we asked about our food and they kept promising it was coming. We got to the point where we had to leave without eating in order to make our show. This place apparently has a huge issue with accommodating patrons coming to see shows. Go elsewhere for dinner if you’re coming to see a show at The Venue. The staff is not very friendly and just feeds lies, not food.

I wish I could give this no stars. Last night I had reservations for 7:00. We were going to see The Temptations at 8. Figured this would be enough time to have a drink and some appetizers as I was told previously by staff that they are sticklers anout reservation times. We weren't seated until 7:17. I had to flag the waitress to get her attention at 7:30. By 7:45 we had water only. The waitress said it would be at least 45 minutes until we got food - we only ordered soup and drinks! This was AFTER waiting 45 minutes. The manager seemed completely stumped that we were canceling and leaving and never offered an apology. Next time we will do what we've done in the past and go to Freddie's steakhouse before the show.

The restaurant was beautiful. The service was fantastic. My server was Ellen. She was very nice and extremely helpful. The oysters were cooked very well and reminiscent of New Orleans. The only problem is that all the flavor was on top of the oyster. The lamb was fantastic. Cooked to temperature and the addition of the aged balsamic really elevated the flavor. The garnish of added to this was expertly crafted. The tiramisu was soft and spongy. The topping really accented the flavor of the coffee. I would strongly recommend going to this restaurant and getting a window seat to enjoy the view of Lake Michigan.

Excellent customer service, however all the food tasted very salty. My friends did enjoy their streaks, especially since it is half priced steaks on Thursdays! I had the shrimp and potatoes dinner. The shrimp was very salty and the potatoes reminded me of cheese curds and were not good at all. The drinks were the best part of the dinner.
