Woolley's Seafood House

The food I ordered looked visually appealing for sure, but taste!! This has to be one of the worst fish sandwiches I’ve ever eaten!! The lengths Ive went through in the attempt to remove the vile taste left in my mouth after eating this meal is unreal. If I could give this establishment 0 stars I would!

This is definitely a fish market/Eatery. The food is delicious but the atmosphere is definitely not high end though you think for the price that they charge you would be getting more. So to put it short, the food is good, the prices are a bit on the high side for the atmosphere that you're getting. I went there during the off-season, namely the winter, and it wasn't very well heated. I have been passing by this place for years and finally decided while in the area I would stop in here for a meal. Maybe I expected a little bit more since it's been in business for so long.

When you walk in, it looks like a cozy house. There is no official, stop here sign but they greet you with lots of smiles. I found this place to be very cozy and friendly. The menu is pretty extensive. I tried the crab wonton, which were the BEST I've ever had! Hubby had the Fried Calamari dinner, which he couldn't finish. I even helped, but it was a large portion. I had a dozen oysters and clams, which were HALF the cost and super Yummy. Last, our server Catherine, was OUTSTANDING! Super friendly and had great energy. Can't wait to go back very soon!

What an awesome restaurant. They were so accommodating from the moment I called to make a reservation. We were treated like family the second we stepped inside. Food is fresh from the seafood market and you can taste the difference. Everything is made to order per your liking. Highly reccomend. The staff is super quick and friendly we never had a dirty plate on the table for more then a minute.

Dude has a serious attitude problem on the fresh food side, I went online, google by the way to find the number to call a order in, and pressed the call button, it called the fresh food side unbeknownst to me, I asked to order food, the dude that picked up said we don't take orders, I said okay I want to pickup and he said we don't do that on the fresh food side call the other side, I asked, could I get the number, and he said, I kid you not, "why don't you go online and get the number." Well got darn it... you are in the service business buddy... guess they don't need any more money... Just rude... sad because the owner is super nice I wonder if she knows about this type of behavior and can't get rid of this dude...or others like him... now I will not recommend to my network anymore or talk highly of them again unless that type of behavior is reversed anyways thought this would be good over Red Lobster this Mother's Day, oh well, then again...

Ordered a fried shrimp dinner and a fried seafood combination for takeout on Good Friday. We were very disappointed with the food - the fried shrimp were smaller than when previously ordered, over cooked and dry and the fried shrimp, scallops and filet in the combo were also overcooked and dry. We have never been disappointed with our previous orders of fish and chips but it always seems when shrimp or scallops are ordered, they are over cooked. It could be that they were extremely busy that night but I don’t think that should be an excuse for overcooking food. We wouldn’t mind paying the $55 if the food was good but this food lacked taste. I hope they can read their reviews with an open mind and make the necessary changes to the way they fry their menu items. Their tendency to overcook the food has happened all too often.
