The vibe of this place was wonderful, decorated beautifully for the holiday season. The bartender was wonderful. Great place to grab a drink. Tried a few apps and they were just OK. I think we will be back to try a couple of entrees.
Hoping the entrees will be a little more impressive.

This is one of my always stops when I’m in Indy, I love the atmosphere and the food and the drinks. This history and the aurora about The Rathskeller is fantastic. 10/10 highly recommend

The Rathskeller serves up a delicious assortment of authentic German fare within a warm and inviting atmosphere. When we went there was a live band playing in the outdoor garden, a wedding party in one of their big halls and cozy home dining in another segment, not to mention a cozy bar vibe down the hall. Plenty of room for all sorts of gatherings! Will definitely be coming again :)

The Rathskeller is one of our all time favorite German restaurants! The food is always to die for and they have a large beer selection. Their French onion soup and potato pancakes are a must have. I love that the bread baskets are warm pretzels with spicy mustard 💛 this time I had the schlacht platter and it was very tasty!

Very cool German themed restaurant with great service and the food was amazing. They give you a lot of food, we ended up taking some back with us to the hotel. If your in Indianapolis and in the mood for German food and an extensive beer selection, this is the place for you.

Always a great meal with great service. The pretzel 🥨 are fantastic. My favorite is the smoked pork chops with red cabbage and German potato 🥔 salad. I love the bleu cheese salad dressing. My friend had schnitzel. We split the bread pudding between the three of us.

Still great. A little disappointed with the Sauerkraut balls appetizer. Not enough sauerkraut flavor. Pretzels and mustard are the best.

Awesome authentic German cuisine tucked in a Germanian mecca. The beer and food were fantastic though a bit pricey and the service was acceptable.

Had beers and soft pretzels with my wife in the Biergarten. There was a band playing music. It was a great atmosphere and a lot of fun. Really enjoyable way to spend a nice Sunday afternoon in downtown Indy. The band playing was pretty good too.

Huge place with a variety of seatings inside and outside. Great selection of German beers, delicious food. I like the beer garden atmosphere the most: with live music, fresh air, shade of trees, beautiful view on a cathedral.
