Firehouse Subs

The sandwiches are great! Unfortunately I have been going to the 3 local Firehouse restaurants in my area for about 15+ years now (they have changed location except one). Customer service is not always consistent, I greet myself if they haven't said anything by the time I count to 10, the hot sauces are not replenished, ordered by preference (the ones people like vs. ones that don't used), not labeled and most importantly, NOT WIPED DOWN (sticky hands). I love their food....and some of the crew is awesome but others including managers need to attend a retraining class and the way they speak/show a person how to do things. AND EVERYBODY ON FRONTLINE....unless handling desserts and meats in the back should acknowledge a new customer. All that aside the food is worth it!!! Yummy!

Food was good, no issue there. Service leaves something to be desired. They were not busy mind you, but the employees were way too interested in who was working what shift and what ringtone they had their phones to inform me my sub was ready, so it sat there for 5 minutes as I was waiting for my name to be called. Minor in the grand scheme of things sure, but those 5 minutes are priceless when you only have 30 minutes to go, pick up a sub AND eat it before you need to be back at work.

Editing my review from 5 star to 1 star. The staff were very rude and making inappropriate jokes about a question I had asked them concerning my sandwich. There was only one more customer in there and they were rude to them as well. My order was incorrect and at 8 p.m. the sauces were already put away. This was the most awful Firehouse experience I have had. Do not go to this location.

We're have gone here for years and we have never had a problem. We had dinner there this past Saturday night. Most of the staff were outside smoking and conversing and then coming in and going behind the counter. Never saw anyone wash their hands. Shortly after eating I got really sick. I thought I had the stomach flu, Turns out it was food poisoning. 5.5 hours in the ER. Never going back!

I love this location because the employees are great, you can tell its well managed. The food is even better at this location. I eat there every Monday for double reward points day. Taking my buddy up there tonight for Free Bday sub, IMO the Brisket & Cheddar is the best sub. They always have my favorite hot sauce. Just wish they had wifi, but it's cool to just shut out the world and enjoy my lunch in a very clean resturant. A manager always makes time to stop by the table to make sure everything is ok, I like that!
