El Taco Shop

I have never seen worse Mexican food. All of our tacos were missing the onions, cilantro and sauce we ordered. My shrimp taco had what looked like 3 or 4 tiny shrimp. It was hard to tell because it was broken up. We ordered tacos with carne asada, AL pastor, and carnitas. They were greasy and had little flavor. We also ordered steak nachos that looked like ground beef with soggy chips. All in all, we spent $60 (ordered through GrubHub). Subtracting delivery fee, food still very overpriced.

Buddy, I have been living in Georgia for almost two years and I don't have a spot for Mexican food. You know what I mean, when someone asks you "what's your spot for Mexican food?" I don't have one. Well this place might be my "spot." The food is more than great! And they have beer! Tacos and beer; perfect combination. The burrito is probably the biggest we've had in the south and these birria tacos are great! Holy cow that was good! Go eat here! Won't be disappointing. Promise. I hope I travel out this way again so I can get tacos coming to Alabama and leaving Alabama. Oh I almost forgot. I had to order the elote too and that bad Larry was delicious. I'm comparing it to the corn man who would roll down the neighborhoods honking a horn yelling "elote!" I grew up with that. This corn is pretty good and I was so happy eating it

I am not a big fan of Mexican food but El Taco Shop has to be one of the best in Montgomery. The food and service are great. We have never had any issues here. They have several salsas on the bar with other things like fresh onion, cilantro, limes, and jalapeños. We eat here more often than we should I think but it really is that good.
