Jake’s is the best brunch place in the area! Food is phenomenal, plenty of vegetarian options, and the atmosphere and service are always excellent. They always have creative specials and plenty of tried and true staples on the regular menu. The soft scrambled are fantastic. There is usually a bit of a wait but they have a good system and are very efficient.

Jake's is great! I hadn't been here for a long time so I was happy to come back and find that they are still serving deliciously good and solid breakfasts. Their cappuccino is perfect along with our perfectly prepared, generous breakfast dishes. Although there was a sign that they were short of staff, service was absolutely spot on. You couldn't ask for more.

Good food, tables are a bit close together. There were some food options that were not available. Service was good. Prices were decent for the portions. Drinks were outstanding, both alcoholic and non alcoholic. Staff was working short and still took care of everyone efficiently. See pictures of food and menus.

Likely the best pastrami sandwich I've ever had. Coleslaw had the right idea but lacked flavor. Tomato soup was more like marinara sauce. It was a semi-busy lunch, but the service was not good. Asked if I could put my plates on next table coz we were done eating and she said 'sure'! (Rather than taking them). Will definitely go back though because the pastrami was that good!

Great experience, first time here! Went on a Sunday morning, it got busy fast. But I can see why as the service was great - prompt and focused waitress, very efficient. There were several other establishments open too, and it appeared as though people were willing to wait in line here for a bit instead of going elsewhere - that says a lot in itself!

We were in town for a wedding and we checked this spot out because it was well-reviewed. It definitely lived up to the reviews! There was a line when we got there around 11a (which I took as a good sign), and it took 15 mins or so for us to get a seat at the bar, not too bad! The staff was so friendly, and on top of their game! Special shoutout to Meg! I had the Shakshouka, which was flavorful, and came with a crisp salad and great bread! We also had their pancakes with berry compote and their mocha featuring house-made cocoa mix. All of it was great, would definitely go back if I was in the area!

Jake's is a cozy breakfast/lunch eatery on King Street in Northampton, Massachusetts. The establishment offers egg dishes, French toast, and pancakes, as well as a variety of salads, sandwiches, and burgers. We arrived on a Friday morning just after 9:30. The place was busy, with almost all the inside tables filled, and every outside seating occupied. There were also a few seats available at the bar. Our hostess seated us at a table indoors. We ordered mimosas and coffee as well as our meals. The Jake's Eggs, included two eggs any style (we selected fried hard) served with home fries and toasted 3-seed sourdough. The food was well-prepared and very flavorful. Also selected was the Basic Sandwich, with two fried eggs and a sausage patty, topped with cheddar cheese on a toasted king sized English muffin. Although the sandwich was delicious, the spices in the sausage weren't quite to my liking, Still, it was enjoyable enough that I didn't feel like removing the patty from the sandwich. We both ordered a side of bacon, which was thick, plentiful, and pleasing. It was also not greasy, which made it all the more tasty. The atmosphere was convivial and agreeable, which added to the pleasant experience. If you find yourself walking by one morning searching for something to eat, it would behoove you to give Jake's a try.

For several visits I've tried to find the source of the smokey good smell wafting down the street. Hint: it's not the burger place on the corner. We recommend the burger, pulled pork, and house fries (potato wedges). It's even better than it smells. It's especially nice that the staff all appear to get along well when no one is looking. My only regret is that it's not open past 3. Worth a stop!
