We went here for lunch and a rest after s day in Noho. The food was delicious and the prices quite reasonable. I had fish chowder and my husband had a grilled fish entree and everything was just delicious. We were seated quickly and the server was friendly and on top of things. The atmosphere is laid back but bright and fun. I’m glad we went there and will happily go back.

My wife and I were in Northampton recently (past the noon hour) and were walking up hill on Old South Street from the Parking Garage toward Main Street when we spotted a Paul and Elizabeth's entrance sign. Hunger and curiosity brought us in and mounting a spiral staircase. The place was handsome and restful, and with a view. We soon realized we had entered from the back, so we went to the front and asked for seating for two. This was available without a wait. (The front entrance is by way of Thornton's at 150 Main Street, Northampton, MA, with the restaurant at the rear.) Limited on time, we ordered the lunchtime special, Szechuan noodle bowls and Hibiscus Peppermint Ice Tea. Our waitress was helpful, friendly, and prompt. We soon were served, and were then taken by surprise at how unusually delicious, fresh and beautiful the meal was. We had expected a good lunch. What we enjoyed was a great, light, healthy, tasty lunch in a terrific setting. We will be back, as we are retiring to Northampton next year, and will certainly be fans of Paul and Elizabeth's oasis. P.S. We have just been back: the Indian Pudding with Vanilla Ice Cream is classic and scrumptious!

Paul and Elizabeth’s offers large portions at low cost with a warm ambience and friendly, customer-service oriented wait staff. Local ingredients used with a list of farms at the top of their daily specials menu and you can taste the freshness. My order came quickly and I was really glad I added grilled portobello mushrooms. Tasty and comforting meal I would definitely eat again.

This place is conveniently located in Thornes with a nice view overlooking the street. The interior is bright and open. The food has been consistently delicious. I'd especially recommend their salads and onion rings. The onion rings are uniquely crispy, while still feeling light and fluffy. Their prices and servers are also very good, which will keep us coming back.
