Church's Texas Chicken

You know people work hard for their money period point blank!! An after a hard days of work you want to get the best for your buck!!! And today this place has really dropped the ball! Being served food that’s not fully prepared is one thing but I have 3 young children I’m serving as well! The place wasn’t busy I pulled right up to the speaker, my order was a mobile order and I was 5mins late to pick up so it’s not like I was rushing! As I approach the window the cashier tells me, “ohh I’m sorry we was out of apple pies so we threw more biscuits in for you(basically didn’t give me an options) ” first off I didn’t order biscuits so why would you think I want extra biscuits??? All around bad customer service! But to get home and make my children plates to see unprepared/ partially prepared food was devastating and heart breaking and their putting the mashed potatoes in 20oz fountain drink CUPS!!!! I had small issue before big this here takes the cake with the unprepared mashed potatoes!!! It’s really unacceptable!

Usually this location is pretty good. Today that was not the case. My chicken was overly cooked and hard, same for the biscuit. Didn't mind the upcharge for getting Mac and cheese but the cup had about four bites...so not worth it. The line was slow as F. Won't be returning for awhile after this trip. Ordered chicken strips and wasn't asked for any kinda sauce and the strips were hard. Just terrible all the way around, waste of twenty bucks.

I arrived at the tail end of a mild rush. Two vehicles parked and waiting for their orders and then one in front of me paying and receiving their order at the window. I put in my order and am told it will be 15 minutes, I say that's fine, and I park. They then get the orders out for the ones already waiting, which is fine. Then more cars arrive and a couple get theirs at the window; but, a few more park too. Then as my wait is hitting the 15 minute mark everyone after me gets their orders and leave. Then one of the kitchen staff members looks out their little window at me and says something to the others. Then more people show up and get helped at the window and some park. At the half hour mark the guy that took my order at the window comes out and says "We forgot about you." Gives me my bag, and then walks away. Not even a sorry.

A unique location. Doesn't have inside dining. There is a drive thru and outdoor seating with an order window. The staff was friendly and expedient. The fried chicken was heavily breaded with a crunchy but bland outside. The meat was tender and juicy. The fried okra was pretty good. The mac & cheese was simplistic, but a better flavor than KFC and Popeye's. Nothing special, but it was cheap. I wouldn't return for their basic food; however I will come back to try their seasonal flavors as those are always good! #KCFoodie #CulinaryAdventures #ExploreYourCity #OlatheKS

Excellent Church’s location here. Chicken is always hot and fresh, as well as the sides. I get through the drive thru quickly every time. The employees are always on point and do a great job. Fast food restaurants are hit and miss but I have no complaints with this one. The spicy chicken is my favorite 😋 🍗

I ordered from here today, got the Texas chicken and shrimp and ordered mashed potatoes. They forgot the mashed potatoes there were only ten fries scattered around the box and they were cold, the chicken was also cold and the biscuits were burnt. Worst church’s chicken I’ve been to. This is the 2nd time they’ve messed up my order and the food has been nasty
