This place is wonderful! Service was very friendly. Our drinks were always full and everyone seemed very cheerful and happy to see us. I had the catfish and my husband had a steak. Both were very good and reasonably priced. $2 margaritas on happy hour is an added bonus, they were very tasty and had good strength. I can’t wait to comeback and try some of their other menu items! If I could give them 10 Stars, I would! Love this place!!!!

The food was so good I had chickenfried steak and enjoyed it one had roadkill and wow I'm getting that next then a friend had the chicken with spinach and cheese that's on my list too. Our waitress was fantastic. We also had margaritas I had the prickly pear which was a little tart and I liked it. The rolls are delicious. My kids loved the little tire swings. Great menu selection with a full bar. I'm so glad I brought my family here. Next time we come to town we are coming back here.

Horrible experience! The rolls were raw, armadillo eggs tasted worse than fast food. Major issue was with the Manger, Jesus, if that's his name, since we were given several names. Manager ran out of the restaurant after us, stating everyone loves their food. Ummmm.... we didn't! Customers have a right to an opinion and shouldn't have to pay if not satisfied with uneaten food or drink! We did pay the bill... will not return or recommend! Also, feel the manager has issues with women, especially opinionated ones! Comments were made........ Thank you for your response! Yes, everyone please check out their reviews! Flavor is not up to par! Oh how I miss Fajita Ranch. Bandera Roadhouse was terrible. I will still try this location if the name changes again because it is what I do. The cute packaging for the armadillo eggs is a setup for a disaster. Frozen centers (Sonic is better) and when they remade them, we received a burnt to the crisp set. Food is not marked well as to which is spicy or not. The crew has no idea what is hot or not. Mostly, I miss coloring on the table. Its was a nice feature for kids and adults alike.

Had dinner there yesterday after just hearing about it on Facebook. I've been looking for a good chicken fried steak for a while now, and after the facebook account claimed their steak completely fills the batter (and is quality sirloin, not cheap cube steak) I had to go try it. I fancy myself a bit of a chicken fried steak connisour (if there is such a thing) and I've had chicken fried steak from dozens or different restaurants over the years (probably close to 50 different restaurants). Bandera's was the second best chicken fried steak I've ever had, and by FAR the best in the area (the best was in Waco - a bit of a drive), and it was pretty close. And, true to the words of their Facebook account, the steak really did fill the whole batter, and I've NEVER had that before, so bravo! Besides the steak, the soda was well carbonated, the mashed potatoes were great, and the rice was great. Our waiter was very attentive, and we never ran out of drink (but nor was he there too often). The owner (or manager?) was also on the floor helping out his staff - the mark of someone who cares and wants to provide good service. This place was great. (Don't judge it by the exterior paint job). I don't write reviews often, but after reading all the reviews here before going, I decided if the place was good, I'd write one. It's all five stars except for: two angry trolls who are obviously lying (it was clear that this place is well run, and would not treat anyone that way), and two people giving it 1* because it's not the restaurant it replaced. Everyone who is honest (at the time of my review) has given this place high marks, which it deserves. Side note to owner: please provide a small clipboard to use for signing the receipt. It's hard to sign it on a tablecloth. Summary: This place is (1) well run, (2) has good service, (3) has great food, and (4) GOOD live music (I heard it on my way out - it was on the patio). Don't judge it by the paint job, this place is great, and is a top quality Texas Roadhouse.
