Glenwood Tea Room

This was a work lunch with refinery guys, so we were a bit out of place but they were still very welcoming. I had the BLT which was very delicious. Fresh ingredients and good flavor. Also had the Victorian soup. It looked a bit sketchy(kind of like split pea soup) but wow was it really good. No salt or pepper needed. Delicious. The other guys had the house blackberry tea and raved about it. Tried some of the chicken salad on a cracker and it too was so good. Great experience. Nice people!

I have always enjoyed having tea and lunch at the Glenwood. I am a big fan of tea sandwiches and soup and they are all done well here. As of January 2016, Glenwood was bought by a new couple. My husband and I had a giftcard from the old owner and a worker told us that they would not honor it. When the new owner found out later, he comped another meal for us. He is a very nice guy and very willing to please his customers. Part of the deal was that they kept the traditional Victorian recipes from the previous owner, so everyone can still enjoy these things. Lately, the owners have been adding new items and even have a breakfast menu that I am excited to try.

I love the Glenwood Tea Room and have recently started taking my 4 year old daughter to get lunch when we are in town. The food has always been great! The first time I took my daughter , the waitress was super! She really interacted with my daughter and made her feel very special. It was a great visit. This last time we went, the food was still outstanding, but the service was lacking. Our waitress forgot many things that we asked for (like honey for my tea and ice for my daughters) and she brought the wrong tea to our friend who was with us. She said she had a very large party and it was clear she was frazzled, but it was still a let down after such a positive experience the first time. I would definitely recommend the Tea Room to anyone going through Shreveport. It is usually a wonderful and unique experience!

Today was my first time going to the Glenwood Tea room and I absolutely loved it! Enjoyed some delicious blueberry tea and also indulged in one of the best chicken salad sandwiches I've had in years. 10/10 would recommend to anybody who has never been. Also their chocolate chip scones were SO yummy. Whoever owns this place is doing a DAMN good job ❤️

Today was my first time experiencing the Glenwood tea room and let me just tell you how FANTASTIC the Michelle favorite thing sandwich is, honestly so delicious I’m full and want another right now. Also the staff and owner are genuinely there to serve you with a smile and love. The ambiance is relaxed, the tea flavors were all delicious, the food is amazing, and the staff delightful! Will be back 💚

If you’re looking for quality service, delicious teas and treats and entrees, look no further than the Glenwood Tea Room! My mother threw a reception for our recent nuptials there, and it was such a beautiful experience. The staff is always so friendly and top notch, and were quick to provide us everything we asked for, and all was done with a smile on their faces. The tea sandwhiches were truly a treat I’ve never had the pleasure of enjoying before, and both the Turkey Dill and the Honey Walnut Tea sandwhiches were excellent. Both were full of flavor and a welcoming treat to enjoy with our tea. The mini scones we had were all so tasty as well, and I think collectively, my little group loved the scone with the white chocolate and apricots the best! But you couldn’t go wrong with any of them. For tea, we definitely recommend the Blueberry Tea, and we really enjoyed the iced Angel Dream tea. It has a smooth, velvety flavor (normally I have to add cream and sugar to tea, but with this one there was no need, since the flavor was amazing on its own). We loved getting out of the norm and trying new things, and this truly was a delightful experience enjoyed by everyone that came to my little gathering. If you’re looking to be treated like a Queen, this is the place to go! I can’t wait to go back and try more things!

This is one of the hidden gems of Shreveport! I am not usually one for hot tea but branching out here and trying some, was the best food decision I have ever made! The blueberry tea is absolutely outstanding. The service is exceptional and the food is absolutely stellar! I love this place and cannot wait to return with my family so that they can too experience this wonderful atmosphere and food!
