Gloria Jean's Coffee

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. I RARELY bother writing reviews but the food was so revolting that I felt like it was my duty to warn anyone falls into the trap of buying cake slices from this particular Gloria Jeans location. I ordered the cappuccino slice and Black Forest slice. 1. Cappuccino - it had zero flavour other than a slight bitterness and the texture of cottage cheese... I'm assuming the cake was really old and all the coffee flavour had evaporated... 2. Black Forest - A pretty-looking slice until you take a bite. From which you will experience a gross mixture of medicinal, cough-syrup cherries and bland icing. I've never tasted cake so bad in my life. Even the unwanted, marked-down cakes at Aldi tastes better than this horror. Customer service was passable. Such a waste of money.

Several years ago both the service and quality of coffee was excellent. Now, I cannot stand either the Chatswood or Sydney city store. I will be deleting my Gloria jeans app as they are the only stores in my area, and I will not be visiting a Gloria jeans shop again. Also, they do not properly redeem my birthday drinks, telling me to complain to the head office.

I like the coffee chillers here, so I get that regularly. Regular coffee here is pretty standard, not bad but not amazing. The workers here always seem a bit distracted, and some don't always seem to know what they're doing so other employees always need to halt what they're doing to help them, but the service is pretty efficient otherwise. Some of them seem to be chronically tired, I'm kind of worried about them. The setting of the cafe is cozy, I like it quite a lot. But workers don't seem to go around and clean the place all that often so you can sometimes see water rings and coffee stains on the table
