Ruby Tuesday

I am FREEZING! We looked at the thermostat. 63 DEGREES! It must have been set by a fat woman having menopause hot flashes. I mentioned that it was cold, and by the time we were done eating, it was up to a balmy 66 degrees. I ordered a tequila sunrise. The waitress came back after a while and said the bartender didn't know how to make one. FREAKING GOOGLE IT!! So I told the waitress the ingredients, and she brought back something that was NOT a tequila sunrise. I drank it anyway just to be agreeable. We ordered an appetizer that was delivered in an unappetizing manner on aluminum foil (pic enclosed) with no plates or utensils. My anorexic "medium rare" ribeye arrived MEDIUM. Either the server forgot to write down the "rare" part of medium rare, or the cook forgot to read it. I could barely taste the rice past the salt (or MSG?) in my rice pilaf. The baby bellas that were supposed to be served on top of my steak were served on the side in a tiny bowl... and charged double the price that was on the menu. My grilled zucchini was the only thing that was cooked properly. My date's salmon salad was missing the quinoa, sunflower seeds, and parmesan. When the server delivered our entrees and asked if there was anything else we needed, I replied, "something to eat it with?" Then she brought some utensils. The tastiest thing about everything was the "relaxer" drink that we ordered my date that was supposed to come in two sizes but actually was only available in one "medium" size. (Still, someone needs to explain to the bartender that you don't bury the orange under a glass full of ice) I suppose I'll wait another five years to come back here. My two star rating is generous.

We have eaten at the Troy Ruby Tuesdays several times over the last few years. And also got carry out once. Each of our visits has been reasonably good. Even though they are very short-handed, they have always worked hard to provide good service. This trip was not so much. We expected long waits to get our food, again due to staffing issues. And our server was great. But the food was severely lacking in quality. My chicken was decent, but you could tell the mashed potatoes had been sitting for some time and then were warmed up for me. There was a layer around the outside that would occur when sitting out for an extended period. Also the broccoli was cold. My wife had the coconut shrimp with fries. The shrimp had a chewy texture to it, again as if it had been sitting out some and then just warmed up. It came with a small serving of a flavored mayo, but that had a layer of film on top, again as if it had been sitting out for some time. They had very few drink options from the bar as well as no draft beer even though it was advertised that way. Our server was great and very friendly. I cannot fault her. And I do understand the staffing issues which can lead to longer wait times. But there is no excuse for bad food. Such a disappointment.

Very poor service. Our 'waitress' would disappear even there were only 2 other tables occupied. It took almost 10 minutes for her to acknowledge that we had been seated and to take our drink orders. It was another good 7 minutes before sh returned. Once we received our food she never came to see if everything was okay or if we needed refills. The food: i ordered the blackened shrimp and sausage pasta well they misunderstood the term blackened because the sausage were these hard burnt little disc's, the sauce had ZERO flavor. The salad bar was a disappointment as well.

Terrible!! Service F,food quality D I gave 1 star because they had Gold Peak Tea. The worst Food I have ever paid for!! Ordered Chicken Cheese quesadilla ! What a joke. Semi melted shredded cheese with a couple of chicken chunks. No sour cream as listed on menu! In their defense only 3 people working. The others called off so they say. Saw people walk out and refuse to pay their bill. Don’t blame them! Thank goodness ordered salad bar so I could eat something

This past weekend I went online and placed an online order at the Troy Location for pick up. They told me 12 minutes and my food would be ready. I get to the building and the doors are locked so I called inside. I was told by the lady who answered the phone that they were closed because they had no manager or cook. She said the manager would be there within the hour and to come back then. I asked if I could just get my money back and she said to me “I don’t know what to tell you” then proceeded to hang up on me. I went back an hour later and there was nobody there and the whole building was closed down. They are closed again today and I still have not been able to contact them about getting my money returned to me. The website still says they are open and they are still accepting online orders. Hopefully nobody places an online order and makes the same mistake I did!

The pour staff was so overwhelmed wasn’t funny. We sat at the bar and my wife ordered a mia Tia, and the bar tender made her drink then proceeded to grab cherries out of a gallon jug with her fingers and put in the drink… in front of us! The salad bar was good, just not what it used to be… if your looking for a job, they need help!
