Freddy's Steak House

2/12/22 8:15 pm, I visited with 2 friends. The atmosphere was pleasant, we were greeted with smiles, laughter and music. Our waiter was cool. Then we received cold food, not even lukewarm. I only order medium well steak from my regular steakhouses. This day I chose Well done. My steak came out cold and pink all over. The flavor profile for the potatoes was great, the steak was seasoned, it was just cold and not cooked to the correct temperature. The sautéed onions belongs on hotdogs not steak. My friend sent her food back (slab ribs) . We packed and left. The drinks were great, atmosphere great, food not so much. $150 down the drain. Waves at management. Talk to the cook.

5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Started with a sampler appetizer and baked oysters. We moved on to the soup then salad. I had the pan seared Waleye with double baked potato. He had a crusted Parmesan whitefish . It was all fabulous!!!!! The atmosphere is rich and dark with an old gangster meeting ambiance that I love from the old days; I hope they never change that! Jackie, our server, is definitely great with people and we just like her. Freddy’s is classic dining ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I must say that I have been patronizing Freddy's for over 25 years and the still love it. I made a reservation for valentines day and everything went great. The food was great as i always get the pork chops. The only negative things were whoever they hired to sing that night was awful. He actually tried to sing a Prince song that had us laughing so hard we cried. The second issue I didn't like was the policy that our check included a 18% gratuity for a table of two. I don't like that even if we get terrible service our wait staff still gets money that they don't deserve. Honestly, if they are guaranteed a 18% tip then nothing there to ensure that customers get great service. When you take that away from the customers, you put us in a position to take that liberty back. We do that find a restaurant that respects a customers right to pay according to the service they receive. If that's the job they choose to do then no one is obligated to pay for bad service and that's what this policy does. That one policy alone will have me going elsewhere for a nice meal.

So, first off place only gets 3 stars for the service, Heidi is polite, but had to constantly ask for more water, drinks, utensils just common sense things. Frank is super sweet, very accommodating and understanding. The lack of stars is for the food.... it is NOT IT. At all. No seasoning, and just not what I expected for a steakhouse at all. Came for my first Mother’s Day and just disappointed. I had to write the review before I even left the restaurant and I wish I would’ve read the other reviews before coming but Frank did make it right at the end so I appreciate him very much.

The first time I went was Valentines day of this year & everything was really good! I was so excited about going back so I went again on Mother's day & was very disappointed 😞 I came specifically for the Oyster Rockefeller. It was not prepared the same way as the first time. I don't know if it was a different chef or what but it was not good at all. You can tell they used a different cheese, something that resembled a mayo. It wasn't melted. It was like they just threw it on the plate. That really turned me off

Awful experience. Feddy the waitress gave us wrong drinks. Prime rib ordered medium rare came out well . No bread. Waited an hour for food. Never offered appetizer, dessert or coffee. Did not post that gratuity was automatic on a party of 3. Service was not worth the 20%. No manager in sight. What a slop house. Ruined my Mother's Day and our son's 21st birthday. We will never go back. I spent 30 yrs in the restaurant industry. I never complain. Go somewhere else.

Thanks over 363,000 hits on my reviews.. Been 15 years since I was there. Easter dinner, very nice. Very good prime rib, med rare yum. Good salad ranch dressing was extra good. I think my French onion soup is better, but ? Lol. My twice baked potato was very good. 70s style steak house and big booths nice. No covid speed tables my only real complaint. Service slightly erratic, lol, but polite.
