Wz Tavern

Visited for the first time over the weekend and it was a nice time. Great atmosphere. The avocado fries were amazing. Food had great flavor and the staff was friendly and patient and helpful. Prices were reasonable and they have a large menu. Would for sure go back and recommend this place to anyone.

Please don’t give your business to WZ Tavern; just take a moment and read the reviews on Google and Yelp and you’ll see this is not the place you want to go to. I should have known better when I saw the empty patio on Father’s Day ( see attached picture) but we took a chance anyways because my father-in-law said they have a variety of wing flavors here. We wanted to watch the game 7 of the NBA Playoffs with my wife, in laws and our dog who is a registered service dog. We sat down in the patio which was completely empty, not a single person there and our waitress came by and she was polite and nice and even asked to pet our dog. We informed her we wanted to watch the game and she quickly changed the channel for us. Two seconds later the host walks outside and informs us the manager said we can’t have our dog in the patio. We informed her he’s a registered service dog and showed his credentials to her and she said no problem and walked in. Two seconds later the hostess walks out again and says the manager informed her it doesn’t matter if the dog is registered they don’t allow dogs in the patio and if we wanted to stay there, there were tables on the side walk for us. We got up and took our business somewhere else. See attached picture of empty patio. My advice to the ownership is to get new management. Instead of worrying about registered service dogs at your patio, worry about the 80/100 health score you got and the several violations that were listed in there. And maybe read all the horrible reviews that everyone posts for you, maybe then your patio would not be empty on Father’s Day.

We won’t be back. Every time we have eaten there we have had a bad experience. Only exception was when we ate at the bar. Our third time giving this place a chance, we sat for 40 minutes with no app. The server never came to our table or even to check on the food. It’s such a bummer because we would love to support a local spot. Their food is good but the service is so terrible.

If I could give zero stars I would. This was our first experience at this restaurant and the customer service we experienced is atrocious. We had an item missing from our order. We then politely asked them if they could correct their mistake. Mistakes happen all the time, completely understandable, but when you start bad mouthing your customer in the background that is just horrible customer service. Never will recommend this place to anyone.
